About Step Up Autism Center

Step Up Autism Center provides high-quality autism services to children and families, including Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, occupational therapy, and academic-based programs.

We are growing our team and are looking for a caring, reliable, and motivated ABA Therapist / Behaviour Interventionist to work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental needs.

Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism and developmental needs.
- Implement individualized behaviour intervention programs under the direction of a supervising clinician.
- Follow treatment plans and collect accurate session data.
- Support communication, social skills, play skills, daily living skills, and learning.
- Implement behaviour-reduction and skill-acquisition strategies as directed.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Communicate professionally with parents, supervisors, and other members of the clinical team.
- Complete session notes and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Participate in team meetings, training, supervision, and career development.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clients.

Qualifications

- Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Experience with ABA, behaviour intervention, special education, childcare, or related fields is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Autism Studies, Education,



Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, patient, compassionate, and comfortable working with children.
- Ability to follow individualized treatment plans and collect data accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current CPR/First Aid is an asset.
- Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is patient, energetic, dependable, compassionate, and passionate about helping children with autism reach their potential.

Previous ABA experience is an asset, but we are also willing to consider motivated candidates with relevant experience working with children and a strong interest in autism services.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
