The Downtown Kelowna Association is seeking an experienced, organized security professional to lead our Downtown on Call and Clean Teams.

About Us

The Downtown Kelowna Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that the Downtown Business Improvement Area is a safe and desirable place to conduct business, live, work, play and enjoy through the cooperative efforts of our members and local government.

Through our marketing and event initiatives, we promote the vibrancy of Downtown Kelowna, encourage visitation and support our business community.

Our On-Street Services teams provide essential daily services, including employee secure walks, graffiti removal, power washing and garbage removal. Our award-winning Downtown on Call program uses a “hands-off” approach to support a safe and welcoming downtown, while our Clean Team helps keep our streets and public spaces clean and inviting.

The Role

- Lead and support a team of approximately 12 employees.
- Coordinate staff schedules, training and performance reviews.
- Manage monthly and annual budgets.
- Oversee workplace health and safety protocols.
- Coordinate the maintenance of DKA vehicles and equipment.




- Assist with event setup and takedown.

What You Bring

- Prior security experience and BST certification.
- Previous management experience and strong leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with scheduling and HR software.
- Some experience managing budgets would be great.
- Mechanical aptitude and a practical approach to solving problems.

Starting salary: To be arranged based on experience, plus full benefits.

The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm.

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
