Reliable Equipment Rentals Ltd. provides aerial equipment rentals and services to valued customers throughout southwestern British Columbia.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team!

The Parts Advisor is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by responding to parts inquiries, identifying customer needs, and providing accurate, timely parts solutions. This role combines robust parts knowledge, sales aptitude, and system proficiency to support internal and external customers. The Parts Advisor plays a key role in driving repeat business through relationship-building, quote follow-up, upselling, and cross-selling, while ensuring inventory coordination and clear communication throughout the order process.

Monday to Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Wages from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Assist customers with identifying and purchasing the correct parts and provide knowledgeable, professional service.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned and key customer accounts.
- Prepare parts quotes and provide customers with suitable options based on pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Proactively follow up on open quotes and opportunities to maximize sales and support repeat business.
- Work closely with Service Technicians to ensure they have the parts required to complete repairs and maintenance efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements to ensure appropriate parts availability.
- Assist with receiving, shipping, and processing incoming and outgoing parts orders.
- Process customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances when required.
- Handle customer returns, exchanges,



and credit requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure sales orders, invoices, receiving documentation, and other transactions are entered and maintained accurately.
- Work collaboratively with the Parts, Service, and other branch teams to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Parts Department and overall company operations.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

- Proficient computer skills for inventory management, order processing, and reporting, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple inquiries simultaneously.
- Knowledge of parts, equipment, and industrial supplies is an asset, with experience in heavy equipment, construction equipment, material handling equipment, or related industrial parts considered a strong asset.
- Strong relationship-building and sales skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts and solutions.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and supportive of junior staff.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Experience, Training, Certification and Education:

- 2+ years of experience in parts sales, parts counter,



inventory management, or a similar role preferred.
- Experience working with heavy equipment, construction equipment, material handling equipment, or industrial parts is considered a strong asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, supply chain, or related field is an asset.
- Journeyman Parts Technician certification or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

- Warehouse-based role with physical labour and exposure to heavy equipment.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.
- Occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs with mechanical aids.
- Regular use of company vehicles for parts transport and delivery.
- Standard business hours with occasional extended hours depending on operational needs.
- Personal Protective Equipment required at all times.
- Exposure to construction and industrial equipment.
