Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Waterjet Operator, where you will be at the forefront of precision cutting technology. In this role, you will operate high-pressure waterjet machines to cut a variety of materials with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate waterjet cutting equipment according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure precise cuts.
- Prepare materials for cutting, including measuring, marking, and securing workpieces on the machine bed.
- Monitor machine operation throughout the process, adjusting parameters as needed for optimal results.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on waterjet equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain detailed logs of production runs, machine settings, and inspection results to ensure traceability and quality compliance.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating waterjet cutting machines with a strong understanding of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems.
- Experience with CNC programming and editing to optimize cutting paths and efficiency.
- Knowledge of other manufacturing processes such as plasma cutting, CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, press brake machines, welding, and assembly.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, calipers, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts is a plus.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, angles, and material quantities.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection procedures to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively.
