Strata Drilling Group is a recognized leader in the Geotechnical and Environmental Drilling Industry, with operations in Toronto (Stouffville), Ottawa (Carlton Place), and Peterborough.

We're currently looking for motivated individuals to join our Toronto (Stouffville) team as an Operator's Assistant.

This isn't a job where you'll simply do the same task every day. You'll work directly alongside experienced drilling Operators and receive hands-on training to develop the skills needed to advance in the Geotechnical & Environmental Drilling Industry.

What We Offer

- $24.50–$26.50/hour as an Operator's Assistant
- $28.50–$31.50/hour as Starting Drill Operator
- Consistent full-time hours

· Regular out-of-town travel, typically 1–3 nights away from home per week

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work alongside experienced operators and become an important part of the drilling crew.

Your training will include hands-on experience with:

- Rotary Drilling Equipment
- Direct Push drilling equipment
- Other mechanical and drilling equipment
- Safe work practices and drilling procedures

You'll be working Outdoors, Indoors, assisting with drilling operations, handling equipment and materials, and learning the trade from experienced operators.

No previous drilling experience is required. We train you.

Experience in construction, drilling, landscaping, heavy equipment, mechanics or other skilled trades is an asset, but not required.

Requirements

- Clean driver's abstract is required
- Valid driver's licence
- AZ/DZ licence is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
- Regular out-of-town travel is required.

- Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Your Path Forward

At Strata Drilling Group, we don't expect you to know everything on day one.

You'll begin as an Operator's Assistant earning $24.50–$26.50/hour and receive structured, hands-on training from experienced operators.

As you develop your skills, knowledge and ability to operate drilling equipment, you'll have the opportunity to progress into an Operator position earning $28.50–$31.50/hour.
