The Opportunity:
Corporate Properties facilitates the process of appropriately planning for future civic developments and provides property and land management services for the City of Airdrie to maximize the value of City owned real estate assets.
The Land Administrator I supports the Corporate Properties department through land and facility acquisitions, real property management, and land leasing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead standard land acquisition projects
- Support complex land acquisition and disposition projects and processes
- Support the development and implementation of strategic facility and land related initiatives
- Assist with the implementation of the Corporate Facilities Master Plan
- Lead/support operational space needs assessments
- Oversee standard maintenance of Corporate Properties assets
- Prepare and coordinate construction working space agreements and access agreements
- Prepare land lease renewals, as required
- Coordinate and administer corporate land and property inventory
- Maintain, prepare, and execute land documentation, including signatures and associated affidavits
- Maintain land records and files for in-progress land projects
- Present information to City Council, Boards, and senior leadership
You Bring:
- Education in land administration, geomatics, Project Management, or architectural/civil technology
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Commissioner of Oaths, or willingness to obtain Commissioner of Oaths designation
- 1 to 3 years of experience in land administration, geomatics, Project Management, or architectural/civil technology
- Basic understanding of surface land administration, acquisitions, and Alberta's land registry practices
- Understand and interpret legislation related to land such as Municipal Government Act and Land Titles Act
- Demonstrated tact and diplomacy to establish effective working relationships to negotiation, solve problems and resolve conflict
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment
- Ability to manage your time to meet deadlines on a variety of projects concurrently
- Solid oral and written communication skills

Additional Information:
This is a full‑time temporary position for a fourteen‑month period, with 37.5 hours per week. An extension may be possible depending on operational needs but is not guaranteed.
