Full-Time Appointment Setter – Retirement Planning

Funnels And Setters is hiring a full-time Appointment Setter to join our Done-For-You (DFY) team. You will represent our consumer-facing retirement brands, calling pre-retirees and retirees who have requested educational resources and consented to follow-up.

You’ll work from your own private office, giving you a dedicated space to make calls, build relationships with prospects, and stay focused throughout the day.

Your job is to start meaningful conversations, understand each person’s situation, and book qualified appointments with our financial advisor clients. You’ll speak with people who may be approaching retirement, managing their own investments, looking for a financial plan, or questioning whether their current advisor is meeting their needs.

Compensation

This position uses a monthly draw against commissions. You receive a regular draw, which is an advance against your commission earnings. Earned commissions are applied against the current draw and any outstanding draw balance from previous periods. Commissions above those amounts are paid as additional earnings.

If your commissions fall below the draw, the shortfall carries forward and is offset against future commission earnings. The draw is part of your commission compensation, rather than a separate base salary paid on top of all commissions.

The Role

This is an active phone-based sales role. A substantial portion of your day will involve outbound calls, follow-up conversations, and appointment setting. We’re looking for someone who enjoys talking to people, builds trust quickly, and stays consistent throughout the day.

In this role, you will:

- Call current leads promptly and follow a structured process for reaching people who haven’t answered.
- Represent our brands professionally, with warmth, confidence, and patience.
- Ask thoughtful questions about retirement goals, existing planning, and the concerns that prompted the person’s interest.




- Listen carefully and help prospects understand the purpose and potential value of a conversation with a financial advisor.
- Confirm that prospects meet the assigned advisor’s qualification criteria.
- Handle questions and objections respectfully, without pressuring people or making promises about financial outcomes.
- Book appointments, clearly explain what to expect, and confirm meeting details.
- Follow up to support attendance and reschedule missed appointments when appropriate.
- Keep accurate notes, call outcomes, and follow-up tasks in our CRM.
- Participate in call reviews and coaching, and apply feedback to improve your performance.
- Follow company procedures for consent, confidentiality, and requests to stop contact.

What We’re Looking For

- Dependability, organization, and availability to commit to a full-time schedule.
- Consistent follow-through and ownership of your results.
- Comfort using a CRM, online calendars, and basic business software.
- A willingness to receive coaching and work toward measurable goals.

Previous experience in appointment setting, telephone sales, inside sales, or a contact centre is preferred. Experience speaking with retirees or working in financial services is an asset. Your responsibility is to qualify and book appointments; financial advice and recommendations are handled by the advisor.

Success will be measured through consistent calling activity, contact rates, qualified appointments booked, appointment attendance, and the quality of your conversations and records.
