Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cantonese Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This energetic role involves supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Cantonese and possess a genuine passion for caregiving, making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.

Responsibilities

- Deliver personalized patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication-related activities
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition intake
- Assist with light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a secure environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a warm and trusting relationship
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, to promote independence and safety




- Follow care plans meticulously and communicate any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare professionals

Qualifications

- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments
- Strong background in patient care, senior care, dementia care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Fluency in Cantonese is essential; proficiency in English is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks
- Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude and attention to detail
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is highly desirable; relevant caregiving training is a plus

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 6.0 per week
