Our client is seeking a Wait Staff - Server to join their team for a special event. As a Wait Staff - Server, you will be part of the event hospitality team, supporting an exceptional guest experience for attendees gathering to celebrate the 100th homecoming for Queen's University. If you enjoy serving others, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, and delivering friendly, reliable service, this role is a great fit.

Job Title: Wait Staff - Server

Location: KINGSTON, ON

Pay Rate: $25/hr

Shift: One day assignment - Hours Per Shift: 5.5, Shift Start Time: 05:00 PM

What's the Job?

- Provide attentive, guest-focused service to support a smooth and welcoming dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate clearly with guests and the team.
- Follow food safety principles and procedures to help maintain a clean, safe service environment.
- Support event operations by staying organized, responding quickly to guest needs, and working collaboratively with staff.
- Maintain professionalism while working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for the event.

What's Needed?

- Valid Ontario Smart Serve required.
- Previous experience as a server or in food service preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication.
- Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures; ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends; ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing.
