Job Summary

We are specifically looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who is available to teach swimming lessons in Peterborough, Ontario for 6-12 hours each week, and has access to a car.

This rewarding role involves teaching both babies and toddlers essential water safety and swimming skills using our highly specialized program and teaching methods. Our ideal candidate enjoys spending time with little ones, being active, being in the water, and teaching.

Don't worry if you aren’t currently a certified swim instructor! We will guide and support you through the training and certification process if you're the right fit for the role. Training will involve spending 5 days in Bobcaygeon,



with travel and accommodation covered by Water Babies.

Teaching Responsibilities:

- Teach weekly swim classes to babies and toddlers ages 0-5 years and their carers
- Plan all lessons ahead of time
- Transport self and equipment to and from the class venue
- Perform any opening duties if required at class venue
- Supervise the clients while in the pool area
- Take attendance and notes for each class, and report to the office
- Perform any closing duties if required at class venue

Out of Pool Duties for Teachers:

- Maintain records of swimmers’ progress and development
- Be reasonably available to answer questions and queries from Water Babies customers via email
- Maintain equipment and follow all cleaning/sanitizing procedures
- Attend a teacher’s meeting once a quarter to designate the teacher’s classes for the next term and to receive important updates and information

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.50 per hour
