Full-Time Home Care Assistant

Country Hills NW, Calgary

Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–3:30 PM Approximately 37.5 hours/week | Some flexibility with hours | $21.20/hr

I’m looking for a kind, reliable and self-motivated female to join my household as a full-time Home Care Assistant. I have physical mobility limitations and am looking for someone who can provide assistance with personal care while also helping me keep our busy family household running smoothly. This is a varied position, so I’m looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative and recognizing what needs to be done without always needing direction.

Responsibilities include:

Personal care, including assistance with showering and dressing, Setting up equipment for my daily exercise routine, General housekeeping and household organization, Laundry and other household tasks, Meal preparation, Running errands and occasional shopping, Some childcare/family assistance, Other day-to-day tasks as needed

The right person will be:

Efficient with time management and completion of daily tasks, Reliable, punctual and responsible, Respectful of our home, belongings and privacy, Self-motivated and able to take initiative, A great communicator, Comfortable working independently,



Dependable and consistent with scheduled shifts, Professional while still being warm and personable, Comfortable around a cat and a large dog

Qualifications/Requirements:

Previous home care, caregiving or related experience preferred, HCA certification or relevant experience preferred, Current First Aid/CPR preferred, Willing to provide a criminal record/vulnerable sector check

Must drive or have a very reliable source of transportation, as public transit is not easily accessible in my neighbourhood.
