Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Coordinator to oversee the company’s incoming payments and ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices. This role often collaborates with customers, sales operation team, corporate management, and sometimes external auditors to address financial queries and maintain accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts receivable, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue payments to support timely collections.
- Process and accurately apply customer payments, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and accounts remain up to date.
- Prepare and monitor AR aging reports, identify overdue accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances and collection issues.
- Review, analyze, and reconcile customer deductions, including discounts, promotional claims, and other deductions, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
- Prepare and post monthly sales provisions at month-end, ensuring accruals are accurate, complete, and properly supported.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for AR-related accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
- Collaborate with Operations,
FP&A; teams to resolve customer account issues and support efficient AR processes.
- Monitor EDI transactions and work with EDI service providers and internal teams to investigate and resolve transaction errors, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Create and maintain customer master data in the ERP system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer information and account details.
- Ad-Hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, or related experience preferably in a manufacturing/CPG environment.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to work efficiently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to comprehend and articulate accounting issues from non-accounting/cross-functional teams and be able to recommend pragmatic solutions.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook (strong skills in excel).
- Knowledge of accounting software an asset (experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central)- would be considered an asset).
- Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and self-motivation – who takes direction well but has a clear understanding of how to organize the day-to-day functions,
asks questions and engages in self-directed learning to tackle new tasks.
- Can multi-task with confidence and ease.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
