Interested in the outdoors, wildlife conservation and Alberta’s trapping industry? The Alberta Trappers Association is seeking a permanent part time team member to join our enthusiastic team.

The retail and depot assistant position is a permanent part‐time position intended specifically for someone who is looking for an entry level position with a possibility of advancement and increased responsibility.

The Retail and Depot Assistant will work closely with current staff to support day-to-day administration, retail and depot operations, and education programs. The role also includes helping with special projects and events, with some travel and seasonal outdoor work required. This position involves handling fur pelts and biological samples as part of regular depot and program activities. Applicants should be comfortable working with these materials; training will be provided.

Responsibilities may include:

- Fur depot operations and related recordkeeping.
- Administrative tasks, including data entry, maintaining databases and records, and responding to telephone and email inquiries.




- Store inventory and organization
- Holiday coverage of current staff
- Assistance with annual Rendezvous event
- Light building and yard work

Qualifications:

- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel) and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Some travel required
- Knowledge of conservation and trapping would be considered an asset
- Driver’s license and own vehicle an asset
- Position is based in Westlock, AB

Starting hourly rate of $18.00
