About the Role
Spud is looking for a part-time Delivery Team Member to join our Burnaby, BC team. This position will also take shifts as a Delivery Team Member for Mainland Fresh, the Company’s wholesale distribution business. The schedule we are looking to fill is 23 hours a week, three shifts a week.
What You'll Do
- Safely sort, load, transport, and deliver goods to and from warehouses and client locations in a timely and skilled manner.
- Follow assigned delivery routes, customer notes, and special instructions to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Complete vehicle inspections (pre- and post-trip), and ensure the cab and cargo area are clean, organized, and safe.
- Review and verify purchase orders before departure and upon delivery to confirm accuracy.
- Pick up and return empty bins, milk bottles, freezer bags, and ice packs from customers.
- Provide excellent customer service during every delivery—be the friendly and reliable face of Spud.
- Load/unload goods using pallet jacks, carts, and other equipment (training provided as needed).
- Report and document any delivery discrepancies, customer concerns, or incidents promptly
- Additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- A Class 5 Driver’s License with a reasonably clean driving abstract.
- Experience driving larger vehicles is required.
- Ability to comfortably drive around the Lower Mainland in all types of weather, displaying excellent driving skills.
- Must have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in changing schedules and environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift and stand, walk, bend, and crouch for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable and able to sit for long durations of time, while driving.
- Must be comfortable and able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including cold environments. Removing snow from van, and digging your van out of snow, or assisting others may be required.

Compensation:
- $20.00 per hour, increasing to $21.00 after three months, when working Spud shifts
- $24.50 per hour when working Mainland Fresh shifts
- 20% discount on Spud purchases
