Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and flair
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including tools, utensils, and workstations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences for guests
- Monitor ingredient freshness and manage inventory levels to minimize waste
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to create visually appealing dishes




- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques and safety protocols

Qualifications

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, preferably within the food industry or culinary field
- Strong knowledge of sushi making techniques, including serving, meal preparation, and food handling best practices
- Familiarity with kitchen safety standards and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in the food service industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and continuous learning about new sushi trends and techniques
