PADS-K9 Protection & Detection Service is seeking an experienced Licensed Security Guard for weekend night shifts at a licensed bar in Timmins, ON.

We are looking for a professional and reliable guard with at least 2 years of security experience and previous bar/nightclub security experience.

Responsibilities

- Monitor entry points and conduct thorough ID checks to verify legal drinking age and prevent unauthorized access
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the venue to deter disruptive behavior and ensure customer safety
- Utilize CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity, identify potential issues, and respond proactively to incidents
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including bar areas, exits, and back-of-house spaces, to uphold safety standards
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies or disturbances, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary




- Enforce venue policies related to alcohol consumption, conduct, and crowd control with professionalism and clarity
- Document incidents accurately through detailed reports for future review and compliance purposes

Requirements

- Valid security guard license or certification as mandated by local regulations
- Prior experience in security roles within nightlife, hospitality, or law enforcement fields preferred
- Robust surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and crowd management best practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patrons, staff, and emergency responders
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while handling challenging situations effectively
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and respond quickly during busy hours
- Minimum 2 years of security experience in Bar Security — required
