Steel Truss Production / Machine Operator

Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

DestNest is looking for a dependable and motivated person to join our growing cold-formed steel manufacturing team.

We manufacture prefabricated steel trusses, wall panels, and other building components using specialized roll-forming and fabrication equipment. This is a hands-on production position with plenty of opportunity to learn new equipment, develop current skills, and take on additional responsibility over time.

Previous cold-formed steel experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operating cold-formed steel roll-forming and fabrication equipment
- Producing steel trusses, wall panels, and related building components
- Reading production drawings, measurements, and job information
- Checking finished parts for quality and accuracy
- Assisting with assembly, material handling, and organizing completed components
- Helping prepare completed products for shipping
- Keeping the production area clean, organized, and safe
- Assisting with machine setup and basic troubleshooting as you gain experience
- Working with the production team to keep jobs moving efficiently

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Good mechanical aptitude
- Basic ability to use a tape measure and measuring tools
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow drawings and instructions
- Comfortable using computers and production software




- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to safely lift and handle steel components
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes

Experience in any of the following would be an asset, but is not required:

- Steel fabrication
- Welding
- Construction or framing
- CNC or automated machinery
- Manufacturing
- Mechanical repair or maintenance
- Reading shop or construction drawings

- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- Additional hours may occasionally be available depending on production requirements

Pay

$23.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location

Belleville / Quinte area, Ontario

This is an on-site manufacturing position.
