Position Title: Owner Operator - Class 1 LCV Driver

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented LCV Owner Operators to partner with our growing transportation team. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate vehicle to transport freight across regional routes
- Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Alberta in a safe, timely, and professional manner
- Operate Tractor- Trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars,
ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
- Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle in accordance with National Safety Code (NSC) Standard 13
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
- Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
- Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required
Core Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's license and LCV
- Required to own Sleeper Truck – maximum 6 model years old
- All units must be painted in Canada Cartage Blue or White.
- Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clean 5 years CVOR and driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
- Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year)
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable Class 1driving experience
- 3 years of Canada-wide driving experience
- Mountain driving experience and chaining require
- Strong knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions and at night
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach
