We are a growing building supply company specializing in multifamily developments across Canada and the United States. We work with developers, builders, manufacturing partners, and installation subcontractors to provide complete cabinet and countertop packages.

We are looking for an experienced Multifamily Cabinet & Countertop Estimator to join our team in Calgary.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience estimating multifamily cabinet and countertop projects and understand construction drawings, cabinet layouts, quantities, specifications, supplier pricing, and the unique requirements of large-scale residential projects.

The Role

We use AI-assisted tools to help complete takeoffs and develop preliminary project pricing, but we need an experienced estimator who can review, verify, and refine the information before pricing is presented to our clients.

Your experience will be critical in identifying discrepancies, understanding drawings and specifications, confirming supplier pricing, and ensuring our estimates are accurate and commercially viable.

You will work closely with our manufacturing suppliers, clients, and installation subcontractors throughout the estimating process.

Key Responsibilities

- Review AI-generated cabinet and countertop takeoffs for accuracy
- Review architectural drawings, elevations, floor plans, specifications, and finish schedules
- Verify cabinet quantities, sizes, configurations, door styles, finishes, and construction specifications
- Estimate multifamily kitchen and bathroom cabinetry
- Estimate solid surface and quartz countertop requirements
- Review supplier quotations and pricing
- Communicate with manufacturing suppliers to confirm pricing, specifications, lead times, and availability
- Compare supplier pricing against project requirements and identify discrepancies
- Work with installation subcontractors to obtain and verify cabinet and countertop installation pricing
- Review project scopes to ensure all required materials and services are included
- Identify missing information, potential change orders, and pricing risks before proposals are submitted
- Prepare accurate project estimates and pricing for clients
- Assist with value engineering and alternative product recommendations when required




- Maintain organized estimating files and pricing information
- Communicate with our sales and project teams regarding project scope, pricing, and timelines
- Help improve our estimating processes and AI-assisted takeoff workflow

Required Experience

Multifamily cabinet and countertop estimating experience is required.

We are specifically looking for someone who has worked with multifamily cabinetry and countertops, rather than someone whose experience is primarily in residential renovations, commercial construction, or general estimating.

You should have a strong understanding of:

- Multifamily kitchen and bathroom layouts
- Cabinet construction and terminology
- RTA and/or assembled cabinetry
- Cabinet door styles and finishes
- Cabinet box materials and construction
- Cabinet dimensions and standard configurations
- Vanity and kitchen cabinet requirements
- Quartz and solid surface countertops
- Countertop square footage and fabrication requirements
- Sinks, cutouts, backsplashes, and other countertop components
- Construction drawings and architectural plans
- Supplier quotes and pricing
- Installation requirements and labour pricing
- Multifamily construction schedules and project requirements

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who can look at a set of drawings and quickly understand what needs to be supplied, how much is required, what it should cost, and what could potentially be missing from an estimate.

You should be detail-oriented and comfortable questioning information when something doesn't look right.

We are not looking for someone who simply enters numbers into a spreadsheet. We need an experienced estimator who can review the information, use their knowledge of the industry, and make sure the final estimate is accurate.

Technology & AI

We use AI and technology to assist with project takeoffs and preliminary pricing.

You do not need to be an AI expert. However,



you should be comfortable working with technology and reviewing computer-generated takeoffs and pricing.

Your role will be to provide the industry knowledge and experience needed to validate the technology's output.

Suppliers & Subcontractors

A major part of this position will involve working directly with our manufacturing partners and installation subcontractors.

We do not manufacture the products ourselves. Instead, we work with established manufacturing facilities that produce our cabinetry and countertops.

You will help coordinate between our suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to make sure the correct products, quantities, pricing, and installation requirements are captured in each estimate.

Experience communicating with cabinet manufacturers, countertop fabricators, or installation companies is a robust asset.
