Description: We are seeking reliable Sidewalk Tractor Operators to handle sidewalk plowing, salting, and snow removal tasks. Candidates selected for “Call-in” positions, must remain available and fit for duty 24/7 throughout the contract term, respond to dispatch notifications within 15 minutes, and report to their assigned Depot within 1.5 hours of notification. Call-In Operators receive a daily standby rate in addition to the applicable operating rate when called in. Standby pay is conditional upon meeting 24/7 availability, response, and reporting requirements. This work is based on snow events, and operators will be required to complete training shifts as needed. Applicable daily standby rates and position wages will be discussed in further detail during the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate tractors with plow blades and salt spreaders.
- Respond to call-in notifications within 15 minutes and report to the assigned Depot within 1.5 hours, while maintaining 24/7 availability.
- Inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Follow detailed route maps, GPS directions, and all company and safety protocols.
- Report issues or hazards promptly to supervisors or dispatch.




- Attend weekly training sessions as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

- 1-3 years of experience operating small tractors.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sidewalk plowing and salting; municipal or provincial experience preferred.
- Valid G Licence in good standing as required for the position.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid work ethic, attention to detail, teamwork, ability to follow direction, and commitment to safety, OHSMS requirements, and applicable legislation.
