Water Babies is looking for a lifeguard in Barrie! This is an excellent way to start a lifeguarding experience! Lifeguards can work for Water Babies at 15 years of age.

Our lifeguards don't teach but assist the teacher with setting up classes and dealing with questions from all our lovely families before they get in the pool! Our ideal candidate loves interacting with babies/toddlers and their carers, and is enthusiastic, helpful and reliable with excellent customer service skills.

Pool location: Barrie

Pay Rate: $18.00 an hour

We are looking for a lifeguard for the following shifts:

Best Western Plus Barrie Hotel from 9:45-11:15 am on Wednesdays

Fairfield Inn Hotel from 10:45am till 1:15 pm

Fairfield Inn Hotel from 2:15pm -4:45 pm

The perfect candidate would be able to work all three shifts, but if you can only do one of the shifts that's fine as well.

Requirements:

· Must have valid NLS

· Must have valid First Aid CPR-C

· Previous experience is not required





Responsibilities:

· Monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance.

· Enforce safety rules and regulations of the facility.

· Positive interpersonal skills are required for interacting with guests, staff, and management.

· Respond to an emergency promptly.

· Perform CPR and other lifesaving techniques as needed.

· Provide instruction and assistance to swimmers on deck for safety.

· Maintain order in the pool area. Toddlers will be on the move!

· Inspect equipment.

· Record all hours worked and submit hours for payroll.
