Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Cloud QBO Conversion Technician to join our cutting-edge technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in migrating clients’ QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to cloud-based platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Your expertise will support our commitment to delivering efficient, reliable cloud solutions that empower our clients’ financial operations.
Duties
- Develop and implement the cloud accounting software strategy, aligning it with the firm’s overall financial goals
- Onboarding and training clients on cloud accounting software and applications.
- Effectively respond to requests or queries, and keep the team apprised of any potential issues. Execute data conversions from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online within cloud environments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Setup, maintenance, and upgrades of cloud accounting software, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of clous accounting operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements including accurate financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing support and addressing their needs related to cloud accounting software.
- Stay up-to-date with latest cloud accounting software technologies and trends, recommending and implementing new solutions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers and recommend cloud solutions adapted to their needs to add value to our services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles for scalable and flexible cloud solutions.
- Ensure security best practices by configuring VPNs, managing REST APIs, and implementing compliance standards across various cloud platforms.
Skills
- Post -secondary education or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public practice accounting or in a multi-client environment.
- QBO ProAdvisor certification.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Extensive experience with cloud accounting software platforms.
- Proficient with Office 365 products.
- Excellent working knowledge of cloud accounting software including QBO, Xero and various related apps such as Dext, Plooto, QBO and Wagepoint.
- Experience with CaseWare is an asset.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Experience in training staff and clients in software.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to stay current with industry trends and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple environments.

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
