R.J. Kent is an Independent Living Senior Residence located in downtown Port Coquitlam. Our 54-unit building is staffed 24 hours a day, and we are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious individual to join our team as a Multi-Service Worker (MSW).

This position is scheduled to work Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will also be occasions when you will be required to work additional shifts during the week to provide coverage for holidays and staff absences. This may include 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shifts when coverage is required.

Key responsibilities include performing basic janitorial and housekeeping duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, operating commercial laundry equipment, and folding linens. The role also involves food service duties, including setting up a breakfast buffet, serving residents, bussing tables, and operating a commercial dishwasher, along with other tasks as required.





This position is similar to that of a hospitality or restaurant service role, with the added benefit of working in a welcoming and supportive senior living community. The successful candidate should be comfortable interacting with seniors, providing friendly and respectful service, and working independently while also being a dependable member of the team.

R.J. Kent is conveniently located along a major bus route and is operated by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133.

Candidates must possess a valid Canadian work permit and, as a condition of employment, must provide a satisfactory RCMP Criminal Record Check. The cost of the Criminal Record Check is the responsibility of the successful applicant.
