The Security Operations Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Andorix's security monitoring and compliance programs. The primary focus of this role is the administration and optimization of Andorix's Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform, leadership of operations security initiatives, and coordination of ongoing compliance activities that support the organization's SOC 2 certification.
This role collaborates with operations, engineering, project management, leadership, vendors, and clients to maintain a strong security posture across both corporate and managed client environments. The successful candidate will bring strong communication skills to compliment their expertise in the field of systems and operations security.
Security Operations Analyst Responsibilities
Operations Support
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Andorix's SIEM platform, including log ingestion, correlation rules, alerting, dashboards, reporting, and integrations.
- Monitor and investigate security events and alerts generated by the SIEM and associated security technologies.
- Perform incident triage, initial investigation, escalation, and coordination of remediation activities.
- Conduct threat hunting and analysis to identify indicators of compromise, suspicious activity, and emerging threats.
- Support security related product deployments and policy implementations across the organization.
- Participate in vulnerability management activities, including tracking remediation efforts and validating risk mitigation.
- Monitor security advisories and assess the impact of newly identified threats and vulnerabilities.
- Produce security metrics, reports, and recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain and administer the SOC 2 compliance calendar, ensuring required activities are completed on schedule and supporting evidence is collected and retained.
- Coordinate compliance activities across Operations, IT, HR, and leadership teams.
- Track recurring control activities, including access reviews, policy reviews, security awareness training, vulnerability assessments, risk management activities, backup validation, and change management reviews.
- Assist with SOC 2 audits, evidence collection, control testing, remediation tracking, and audit readiness activities.
- Monitor compliance obligations and recommend process improvements that strengthen Andorix's security and governance posture.
- Support the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Resource Management
- Effectively manage assigned tasks or projects to ensure expectations are met
- Create, update, or close tickets for assigned tasks or projects
- Collaborate with other teams/peers as required to ensure timely implementation or resolution of issues
Position Requirements
Education & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, information security, or a related field.
- Experience implementing,
administering and operating SIEM platforms such as Wazuh, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm, or similar solutions.
- Experience investigating security incidents and responding to security events in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or managed services environment.
- Experience with Microsoft security technologies including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 security solutions.
- Strong understanding of network and cloud security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, identity management, endpoint protection, and access controls.
- Familiarity with SOC2 cybersecurity and compliance framework (or others such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001)
- Experience supporting cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment would be considered an asset.
- Experience supporting real estate, construction, or smart building technology environments would be considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
