Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Industrial Mechanic, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our production equipment and facilities. You will keep our packaging and filling equipment running. You will also help install new machinery, set up production lines, and support testing of new and modified products. You will report to the Director of Operations. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of machinery and systems, contributing directly to our commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of manufacturing and production equipment, including conveyors, presses, mixers, production lines, and other mechanical machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections and operational checks on production lines to ensure safe, efficient, reliable, and quality operation.
- Set up, adjust, and modify production lines in preparation for new products, work orders, and changing production requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, automation, and control-system issues using schematics, technical manuals, control diagrams, and equipment documentation.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), low-voltage electrical systems, sensors, controls, and other automation technologies to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment throughout the plant and office while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical safety standards.
- Perform general mechanical maintenance, including welding, HVAC servicing, boiler maintenance, equipment adjustments, and other repairs required to support continuous plant operations.
- Assist with industrial electrical work, equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and commissioning while following established safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Modify and improve existing equipment and production-line designs to increase productivity, reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment performance.
- Support the installation, start-up, and integration of new machinery and production equipment while adhering to safety and operational protocols.
- Monitor equipment and production-line performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other team members to analyze equipment performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, parts usage, and other maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ensure daily compliance with health, safety, and operational standards related to electrical systems, HVAC equipment, boilers, welding, machinery, and other plant operations.
- Provide responsive internal customer service to production teams by diagnosing problems quickly, completing repairs efficiently, and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations while performing maintenance, repair, installation, and production-support activities.
Working conditions
Independent work in a warehouse and plant setting, on a standard work week.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding, HVAC systems, boiler maintenance, and low voltage electrical work.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and CMMS software.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues using analysis skills.
- Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable for managing electrical systems safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance best practices combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills in English for transparent documentation and teamwork collaboration.

Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
