Schedule

- Straight day shift
- Overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Overtime:

- 1.5 x hourly rate after 38.33 hours in a work week
- 2.0 x hourly rate after 46 hours in a work week

Area of Accountability: Maintain, repair, program, and improve automated manufacturing equipment and systems, including assembly lines, stamping presses, robots, PLCs, HMIs, AGC/AMR systems, and related networks. Accountable for implementing engineering changes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring equipment reliability, safety, quality, and productivity. This position is a one-year appointment and may be adjusted based on business needs.

Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and improving automated manufacturing equipment and systems to support safe, effective, and high-quality production. Partners with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and vendors to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Major Responsibilities:

- Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE and identify and communicate safety concerns.
- Maintain workplace organization and housekeeping standards (5S).
- Ensure equipment produces quality parts at established cycle times.
- Support Kaizen, Jishuken, Yosedome, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate potential quality concerns and escalate equipment downtime according to established processes.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment, including assembly lines, stamping presses, robots, PLCs, HMIs, AGC/AMR systems, and peripheral equipment.
- Install, program, modify, and optimize automation controls, robotic systems, and material handling equipment.




- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, alignment, and system modifications as required.
- Develop, verify, and optimize robotic programs and motion paths to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Lead or support automation system design, integration, and equipment improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate electrical schematics, technical documentation, and system records.
- Participate in shift communication meetings and support maintenance performance objectives, including MTTR and MTTF improvements.
- Support root cause analysis and 8-Step problem-solving activities.
- Validate equipment repairs and modifications using established verification procedures.
- Evaluate automation systems and recommend hardware, software, and controls upgrades.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal departments on equipment installations and modifications.
- Support environmental, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Automation Technician Certification, Manufacturing Technology Diploma, Programmer Certification, or equivalent related education.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Experience modifying PLC, HMI, and robot programs.
- Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics.

Physical & Environmental Working Conditions:This position operates primarily within a manufacturing environment and requires regular presence on the production floor. The role involves exposure to noise, moving machinery, robotic systems, electrical equipment, and industrial manufacturing processes. Pay: $42.23-$47.96 per hour
