What You’ll Do

As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse working at Lady Minto Hospital, you will provide direct nursing care to patients and/or residents in the hospital or the community. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will:

- assess, document, and monitor patient health status, reporting changes and collaborating with the care team, patients, and families,
- develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in partnership with interdisciplinary teams, including discharge planning,
- deliver direct nursing care, patient and family education, and respond to emergent or crisis situations as needed.

What You’ll Need to Apply





- Current registration (or eligibility) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Advanced preparation in emergency and/or obstetrics specialty training.
- At least two years of recent, related experience in medical/surgical, obstetrics, emergency/urgent care, neonatal resuscitation, emergency pediatrics (or equivalent).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Lady Minto Hospital

Lady Minto Hospital is a rural community hospital, with 19 acute care beds, including one palliative care suite. Other services include long-term care, laboratory services, medical imaging, obstetrics, psychiatry, endoscopy, pharmacy, physiotherapy and internal medicine services. A recent emergency department expansion includes an expanded waiting area with increased natural lighting, a bottle refill station and an expanded patient care area. A new major treatment room with expanded capacity and upgraded equipment provides rapid response and stabilization for our highest acuity patients. BC Ambulance can transfer patients by ferry or helicopter.

Pay: $41.42-$59.52 per hour
