A hands-on leadership role for an accomplished REALTOR® who will lead the division while continuing to actively list, market, negotiate and sell properties.
CMI Financial Group is a leading Canadian private mortgage lender and asset management platform. Through its integrated group of companies, CMI originates, underwrites, funds and services private mortgages while providing real estate and asset-management solutions that support borrowers, brokers, investors and institutional partners.
CRI Real Estate Services supports the strategic marketing and disposition of residential and investment properties, including Power of Sale, foreclosure and distressed real estate assets.
CMI is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Real Estate Producing Manager to lead and grow the CRI division. This is not a traditional, desk-based management role. The successful candidate will be an active producing REALTOR® who maintains a personal portfolio of listings and transactions while leading, coaching and supporting the division’s real estate professionals.
The Producing Manager will combine sales leadership, business development, operational oversight and hands-on transaction execution. The role is accountable for strengthening team performance, expanding referral and industry relationships, improving listing and disposition outcomes, and supporting sustainable revenue growth.
This opportunity is well suited to an entrepreneurial real estate leader who brings sound judgment, strong market credibility and a proven ability to coach others while continuing to produce at a high level.
· Lead, coach and develop a team of licensed REALTORS®, establishing clear expectations for activity, service, compliance and results.
· Set individual and divisional sales, listing and revenue objectives and monitor progress through regular pipeline, performance and one-on-one reviews.
· Facilitate sales meetings, deal strategy discussions and coaching sessions that strengthen accountability, market knowledge and execution.
· Support the recruitment, selection, onboarding and development of real estate professionals as the division grows.
· Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture grounded in integrity, responsiveness, client service and measurable results.
· Maintain an active personal portfolio of listings, clients and real estate transactions.
· Conduct property assessments, prepare comparative market analyses and recommend pricing, positioning and marketing strategies.
· List, market, negotiate and sell residential and investment properties, managing transactions from initial assessment through closing.
· Review offers, conditions and transaction documentation and provide practical recommendations that protect the organization’s interests.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, sellers, cooperating agents, investors, legal counsel and other transaction partners.
· Lead disposition strategies for Power of Sale, foreclosure and distressed real estate assets.
· Assess property-specific risks and opportunities and recommend tiered pricing, marketing, repair, renovation, staging or other value-enhancement initiatives.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, contractors, municipalities, occupants and service providers to advance files efficiently.
· Monitor active inventory, days on market, offer activity, closing risk and recovery outcomes and escalate material issues promptly.
· Provide strategic guidance on tenanted properties, occupancy matters and disposition considerations in collaboration with legal and operational teams.
· Develop and execute strategies to grow CRI’s listing pipeline, referral network, revenue and market presence.
· Cultivate relationships with lenders, mortgage professionals, investors, brokerages, builders, legal professionals and other referral sources.
· Identify market opportunities, service enhancements and partnership channels that support sustainable growth.
· Represent CRI and CMI professionally at industry events, networking functions, open houses and stakeholder meetings.
· Act as a senior ambassador for the division and help strengthen its brand, credibility and value proposition.
· Oversee consistent listing, offer, transaction and file-management practices across the division.
· Ensure activities comply with applicable Ontario real estate legislation, RECO requirements, TRESA, MLS rules, brokerage policies and professional standards.
· Monitor key performance indicators, including listing activity, conversion, sales volume, gross commission revenue, disposition timelines and team productivity.
· Provide regular reporting, market intelligence and recommendations to executive leadership.
· Identify process, technology and service improvements that increase efficiency, visibility and client experience.
· Address escalated transaction, client or agent matters with professionalism, sound judgment and appropriate documentation.
· Active Ontario real estate registration in good standing.
· Minimum 10 years of progressive residential real estate sales and transaction experience.
· Demonstrated success as an active producer, with a strong record of acquiring listings, negotiating transactions and closing sales.
· Minimum three to five years of experience leading, coaching or managing REALTORS® or a real estate sales team.
· Strong knowledge of the GTA residential real estate market and applicable Ontario real estate legislation and professional requirements.
· Experience reviewing and negotiating agreements of purchase and sale, listing documentation, conditions and related transaction documents.
· Exceptional leadership, negotiation, relationship-management and conflict-resolution skills.
· Robust business acumen, commercial judgment and comfort using performance data to guide decisions.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with executive, legal and operational stakeholders.
· Proficiency with MLS platforms, CRM systems, Microsoft Office and common real estate technology.
· Broker designation or brokerage-management experience.
· Experience with Power of Sale, foreclosure, distressed assets or asset-recovery transactions.
· Experience working with mortgage lenders, financial institutions, investors or asset-management organizations.
