We are looking for an experienced Window & Door Field Service Technician to join our team.

This is a field-based position responsible for travelling primarily throughout the Greater Toronto Area, with occasional service appointments outside the GTA, to diagnose, service, adjust, and repair residential windows and doors.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with windows and doors, is mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and can confidently troubleshoot service issues while providing professional customer service in clients' homes.

A company vehicle is provided for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

As a Window & Door Field Service Technician, you will:

- Travel to scheduled residential service appointments throughout the GTA and occasionally to locations outside the GTA using a company-provided vehicle.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot window and door service issues.
- Perform adjustments, repairs, and replacement of window and door components and hardware.
- Identify the cause of operational, installation, hardware, alignment, sealing, and related service issues.
- Complete assigned service calls accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding service work being performed.
- Document service findings and completed work.
- Take photos and complete required documentation of service conditions and completed repairs.
- Maintain an organized inventory of commonly used service parts, hardware, tools, and materials.
- Prepare required materials and supplies for scheduled service calls.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Maintain the company-provided vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean and professional condition.
- Communicate with the Service Department regarding additional parts, follow-up work, or return visits when required.
- Follow company procedures and all applicable health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

- Valid driver's licence with a good driving record.
- Previous experience working with windows and/or doors.




- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage a daily service schedule.
- Qualified communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Familiarity with travelling throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.
- Willingness to occasionally travel outside the GTA for scheduled service appointments.
- Ability to safely lift and handle window and door components, tools, hardware, and service materials.
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet to document service work.
- Successful completion of a background check.

Preferred Experience

- Previous experience as a window and door service technician or installer
- Experience diagnosing window and door operational issues, hardware problems, alignment issues, air or water infiltration, and installation-related deficiencies.
- Experience servicing residential window and door systems from multiple manufacturers.
- Experience working directly with homeowners in occupied residences.

Compensation & Benefits

- Starting salary is based on experience and qualifications, with compensation from $60,000 per year and higher starting compensation available for experienced candidates.
- Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.
- Extended health benefits after 3 months.

- Consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule starting at 7:30 a.m.
- Opportunity to work independently and in a team in the field as part of an established window and door company.

This is an in-person, field-based position servicing clients primarily throughout the Greater Toronto Area, with occasional service appointments outside the GTA.
