Our rapidly growing, client-focused law firm in Maple Ridge is looking for an experienced Senior Associate Lawyer to join our team in a full-time, long-term role.

This is an opportunity for a lawyer who is ready for real autonomy, meaningful responsibility, and a clear path for professional growth.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of post-call experience who is confident running their own files from start to finish and wants to play an important role in a growing practice.

Who We Are Looking For

You will ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Family Law
- Wills & Estates
- Civil Litigation

You should be comfortable running files independently from beginning to end, drafting, negotiations, applications, discoveries, hearings, trials, and resolution.

The ideal candidate is confident, practical, organized, commercially minded, and capable of exercising sound independent judgment. You should enjoy working directly with clients and be comfortable taking ownership of your practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage a busy caseload om initial
- Take ownership of files and develop appropriate legal and litigation strategies
- Meet directly with clients and provide practical, strategic legal advice
- Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel and other professionals
- Attend court, including chambers applications, hearings, conferences, and trials
- Draft and review pleadings, applications, correspondence, agreements, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice
- Prepare for and conduct discoveries, mediations, negotiations, and other litigation processes
- Manage deadlines, billing, client communications, and file progression
- Identify opportunities to improve firm processes and client service
- Mentor and support junior lawyers and staff as appropriate
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm

Requirements

- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- Minimum 5 years of post-call legal experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage files from start to finish
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Strong client-service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage competing priorities
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
