Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience

What You'll Do

Lead the team

- Lead, coach and review the work of a team of bookkeepers
- Assign client portfolios, balance workloads and keep month-end on schedule
- Review reconciliations, payroll and financial statements before they go to clients
- Train new team members and build checklists, standards and best practices
- Spot process gaps and improve our systems, tools and workflows

Own client relationships

- Manage your own portfolio of restaurant clients and act as the senior point of contact for the team's clients
- Explain the numbers to restaurant owners and operators in plain language
- Work with senior leadership and our consultants to turn financials into better decisions

Deliver accurate, on-time financials

- Full-cycle bookkeeping: AP, AR, sales reporting, expenses and bank/credit card reconciliations
- Monthly financial statements and period-end and year-end close
- Bi-weekly payroll, including vacation pay, ROEs, T4s and adjustments
- GST/HST, source deductions, EHT and WSIB remittances and filings




- Year-end working papers and trial balances for external accountants

What You Bring

- 6+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience
- 2+ years leading, supervising or reviewing the work of other bookkeepers
- Experience managing multiple clients or entities at once (accounting firm or bookkeeping practice experience is a strong asset)
- Strong knowledge of payroll, GST/HST, EHT, WSIB and CRA requirements
- Advanced QuickBooks Online; robust Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
- Clear, confident communication with clients and team members
- College diploma or degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience

Nice to have: restaurant, hospitality or retail accounting; experience with POS and payroll integrations; CPB designation or progress toward it

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
