Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to provide overall leadership, direction, safety oversight, and operational support to the production team.

The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring production activities are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with quality, regulatory, and applicable GMP requirements. This role will coordinate production resources, monitor departmental performance, improve processes, and take ownership of production timelines from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and hands-on, with the ability to identify and resolve operational challenges, coordinate across multiple departments, and keep the production team aligned with company objectives and commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of production project timelines and ensure projects remain on schedule.

Identify potential delays or operational issues early, establish corrective actions, and escalate concerns when necessary.

Maintain and update the company's project management system daily, ensuring project status, production requirements, outstanding items, timelines, and next steps are accurate and current.

Collaborate closely with Supply Chain to ensure raw materials, powders, packaging components,



labels, and other production materials are available when required.

Plan and organize production activities, staffing levels, workstations, and resources in advance to meet scheduled production requirements.

Serve as a central point of contact between Production and departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Control, Maintenance, and other operational teams.

Coordinate pre-production sampling activities and ensure samples are completed, reviewed, and approved within established timelines.

Ensure Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and all associated production documentation are completed accurately and on time.

Proactively identify missing, incomplete, or delayed documentation and information that may affect production schedules.

Communicate and escalate outstanding requirements when they present a risk to production timelines.

Manage and prioritize production personnel to achieve targets related to productivity, efficiency, cost, waste reduction, safety, quality, sanitation, and applicable GMP requirements.

Provide clear direction to the production team and ensure departmental activities support organizational goals and objectives.

Lead, coach, develop, and hold production employees accountable by establishing clear expectations and providing ongoing feedback.

Conduct regular production meetings to communicate priorities, expectations, performance targets, and operational concerns.





Ensure completed products are properly communicated to the appropriate departments for timely release and shipment.

Ensure production equipment and facilities are maintained to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Coordinate maintenance activities, repairs, contractors, and third-party technicians as required.

Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Production department.

Regularly review production performance, communicate results to management and the team, and implement corrective actions when targets are not achieved.

Maintain strong working knowledge of encapsulation equipment, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and oversight of encapsulation processes.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and overall production performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably within a fast-paced production environment.

Experience leading and managing production teams.

Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.

Strong understanding of production scheduling, resource planning, and operational coordination.

Experience working within quality, safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements.

Hands-on knowledge of encapsulation equipment and processes, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Robust communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
