Job description:

We are looking for an organized, process-oriented, and hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead our Saskatoon operation. This is a small, fast-moving location: a 7,000 sq ft warehouse supporting a team of 4 to 5 owner/operators who perform final mile white glove home deliveries of appliances, furniture, and bedding.

This is not a desk job. We are looking for a working manager who leads from the floor. You will be offloading trailers, staging product, and running the morning load out alongside your team, while also handling the scheduling, reporting, and client communication that keep the operation running smoothly. If you are someone who would rather be on the dock than behind a desk, and you have the computer skills and leadership to manage the whole operation independently, this role is for you.

What You Will Be Doing

Warehouse Operations:

- Receiving and physically offloading inbound trailers of appliances, furniture, and bedding
- Inspecting all inbound product for damage and accurately documenting and reporting any overages, shortages, or damages (OS&D;)
- Putting away, organizing, and maintaining accurate inventory across the 7,000 sq ft facility
- Staging product by route the day before delivery to ensure an efficient morning load out
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, safe, and audit-ready at all times

Morning Load Out and Dispatch:

- Running the daily morning load out, ensuring every truck leaves with the correct product, properly loaded and secured
- Verifying all items against manifests before trucks depart
- Confirming routes and delivery schedules with each owner/operator
- Monitoring deliveries throughout the day and responding quickly to issues in the field
- Processing returns, refusals, and haul away product when crews return

Owner/Operator Management:





- Overseeing a team of 4 to 5 owner/operators performing final mile white glove deliveries
- Setting clear expectations and holding owner/operators accountable to company standards for safety, professionalism, and service
- Providing daily direction and coaching to build a reliable, self-sufficient team
- Addressing performance issues, customer complaints, and damage claims promptly and fairly
- Building strong working relationships while upholding The Carr Group's standards in every interaction

Scheduling, Systems, and Reporting:

- Using routing, scheduling, and warehouse management systems to plan and track daily operations
- Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation in Excel and company systems
- Providing information, analysis, and recommendations on the Saskatoon operation to senior leadership
- Managing supplies, facility upkeep, and equipment needs within budget

Client Communications and Relations:

- Providing prompt, courteous, and professional responses to clients, customers, and vendors
- Resolving delivery issues, rescheduling requests, and service concerns quickly and effectively
- Maintaining customer privacy and confidentiality in accordance with company policies
- Representing The Carr Group professionally in every interaction

Safety and Compliance:

- Providing a safe and secure environment for the team, product, and company assets
- Following and enforcing standard operating procedures throughout the operation
- Ensuring safe material handling practices during loading, unloading, and staging

What We Are Looking For:

- Previous warehouse, logistics, or transportation leadership experience
- Experience in final mile delivery, white glove delivery,



or appliance and furniture logistics is a solid asset
- Experience working with or managing owner/operators or contractors is an asset
- Above average computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn routing and warehouse management systems quickly
- Physically capable of offloading trailers and handling heavy items such as appliances, furniture, and mattresses on a daily basis
- Forklift and pallet jack experience is an asset
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a small operation without day-to-day on-site supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt priorities, procedures, and schedules in response to changing conditions and multiple demands
- High energy, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and integrity
- Available to work Tuesday to Saturday

Schedule:

- 8 to 9 hour shifts
- Tuesday to Saturday
- Start at 7am.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
