Job Overview

We are seeking a Red Seal Carpenter with experience in all aspects of renovation carpentry to join us at EJ Installations. We specialize in residential and commercial renovations in Parksville, Qualicum, Nanaimo, & surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have a range of experience in carpentry tasks, including forming, framing, & finishing. Specialty experience is an asset. This role requires a solid attention to detail, and ability to work with others both above and below your skill level.

You will be working as part of a small crew on a wide range of projects, including small to medium sized residential & commercial. We are looking for a crew member who will contribute their skill and care to our projects, while meeting our standards for quality workmanship and safety.

Duties

- Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and drywall.
- Perform concrete forming for foundations and other structures.
- Build components according to specifications and drawings.
- Install flooring materials, ensuring proper alignment and secure fitting.
- Assemble & install cabinets.
- Install windows, doors, & trim.




- Safely perform heavy lifting and other physical tasks as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Experience

- Certified Red Seal Carpenter, with experience in all aspects of renovation carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings confidently.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with carpentry work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Valid BC driver's license & reliable transportation required to drive to various jobsites, as needed.

Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
