The Opportunity
Gibbons is looking for a commercially minded leader focused on maximizing and protecting cash across the company by turning financial insight into action. The Senior Manager, Profit will lead the Offerings, Pricing, Scheduling and Audit/Analytics functions and coordinate the company-wide initiatives that improve labour productivity, cost efficiency, margin and cash generation.
This is a senior, cross-functional role with direct influence on how the business makes commercial decisions. You will own the Profit Meeting and its action cadence, translate company and leadership priorities into measurable initiatives, provide operational financial analysis, and work directly with operators to initiate and follow through on action plans. The role influences company EBITDA through the levers within its control; operating leaders and the wider leadership team remain collectively accountable for delivery.
What you own
- Company profit performance — own profitability reporting, including results presentation to senior leadership, action tracking, follow-through and escalation of material risks or stalled initiatives.
- Vision-to-execution initiatives — translate company priorities into structured projects across Offerings, Pricing, Scheduling and Audit/Analytics, with clear objectives, owners, measures, milestones and expected financial impact.
- Commercial analysis and decision support — coordinate analysis of pricing, product and menu profitability, labour productivity, cost-of-sales, contribution margin, revenue leakage, against world class benchmarking scenarios.
- Brand-aligned offerings — develop full scope of SKUs across company portfolio which reflects current trends in consumer demand, ensuring product mix facilitates maximization of high popularity, high margin items.
- Pricing and revenue optimization — set centralized pricing direction, test commercial assumptions, monitor guest response and product mix changes, and loop feedback into dynamic changes and future decision-making.
- Scheduling and labour efficiency — lead the centralized scheduling and labour-optimization approach, balancing productivity, forecast demand, service standards and team experience.
- Audit, loss prevention and operational improvement — use audits and analytics to identify leakage, wastage, control gaps and margin opportunities, and require clear corrective action plans from the relevant operators or functional leaders.
- Operational systems and insight — own the business use and continued development of point-of-sale, inventory-management, scheduling and operational-analysis systems, dashboards and integrations that support timely action.
- Forecasting and performance partnership — work with operators to develop commercial forecast inputs and forward assumptions, while partnering with Finance & Accounting on the formal reporting cadence, data integrity and interpretation of results.
How you will lead
- Translate insight into action — make complex financial and operational information clear,
commercially relevant and easy to act on.
- Exercise practical authority — work directly with operators to initiate action plans, clarify ownership and maintain momentum without unnecessary escalation.
- Lead through influence and accountability — build strong partnerships while setting clear expectations for measures, owners, deadlines and follow-through.
- Build accountable teams — lead one-page plans, regular 1:1s, coaching, performance reviews, development planning and timely performance management across the Profit functions.
- Collaborate on the financial truth — partner with Finance & Accounting to reconcile operational assumptions to certified actual results, then explain variances and improve the forward plan.
- Connect to the North Stars — link initiatives to Profit, Revenue, Team Happiness, Guest Happiness, Community Happiness and Balance Sheet performance
