Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
- Fit, align, assemble, and prepare steel, plate, structural components, and piping.
- Perform accurate pipe fitting, fabrication, and weld fit-up.
- Use grinders, drills, saws, torches, and other fabrication tools.
- Measure and verify dimensions using tapes, squares, levels, calipers, etc.
- Tack weld where qualified and prepare joints for welding.
- Work with welders and quality teams to ensure proper fit-up and dimensions.
- Assist with rework, repairs, and continuous improvement.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

- 2+ years of Welding Fitter, Welder-Fitter, Fabrication Fitter, or Pipe Fitter experience.
- Heavy manufacturing, structural steel, or industrial fabrication experience preferred.
- Strong blueprint and welding symbol reading skills.
- Experience with pipe fitting and welding preparation.
- Good mechanical aptitude and measurement skills.
- Overhead crane and forklift experience is an asset.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop workplace.
- Trade certification is an asset.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
