Fleet Manager

Waterloo Ford Lincoln is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Fleet Manager to join our team.

This is a hands-on business development role for someone who understands the automotive fleet business from both the sales and service side and is ready to get out into the community, build relationships and actively grow our commercial and fleet customer base.

The right candidate will have previous automotive fleet experience, strong relationship-building skills and the drive to seek out new business rather than waiting for opportunities to come through the door.

Responsibilities

- Develop and grow Waterloo Ford Lincoln's fleet and commercial vehicle business
- Actively prospect for recent fleet customers throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Spend time on the road meeting with businesses, contractors, organizations and existing fleet clients
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with commercial and fleet customers
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow fleet sales
- Manage fleet customers throughout the complete sales process
- Work closely with the dealership's sales, finance, service and parts departments
- Help fleet customers with vehicle replacement planning, ordering and ongoing vehicle needs
- Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts while continually developing new ones
- Follow up with customers after delivery and help coordinate ongoing service requirements
- Represent Waterloo Ford Lincoln professionally within the local business community





What We're Looking For

- Previous automotive fleet management or fleet sales experience is required
- Strong understanding of both automotive sales and service operations
- Proven ability to develop new business and build a client portfolio
- Comfortable prospecting, networking and approaching new businesses
- Willing and motivated to spend significant time on the road developing business
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Highly motivated, organized and self-directed
- Strong follow-up and customer service skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Experience with Ford commercial vehicles and fleet programs is considered an asset
