About the job

The Renovation Helper supports others in the workforce who are professionally qualified to complete the trades work by completing general tasks on their behalf. Their duties include tools or machinery maintenance, general labouring on a work site while ensuring general safety protocols are followed, and completing basic trade tasks. The Renovation Helper reports to the lead worker on site, and will be the supportive role in renovation projects.

Responsibilities (included but are not limited to)

- Assist lead worker with their daily tasks
- Help with equipment and tool maintenance
- Ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Use hand and power tools to assemble and install materials or equipment
- Load and unload materials and equipment for delivery
- Set up equipment at the start of the day and clean up the site at the end of a shift
- Work collaboratively with the site team

Also assisting with:

- Kitchen/ Bathroom/ remodeling
- Painting
- Cabinet installation
- Demolition and cleanup
- Floor installation
- Drywall prep - taping, mudding, and sanding
- Trim and molding
- Landscaping and yard maintenance

Requirements

- Drivers licence and vehicle or a reliable means of transport to various locations
- Must be able to lift 50 pound independently
- Basic knowledge of tools




- Eager to learn and enthusiastic about the home improvement industry

Work Schedule

- Monday to Friday with weekends off
- Daytime hours

Pay: $22.50-$30.00 per hour
