We currently have an open position for a Director, Transportation Solutions and Services to join our team. This role will lead the design and performance of Future Transfer’s national transportation services. The Director works directly with customers to understand their supply chains and develops end-to-end transportation solutions and converts those solutions into executable operating models. The role owns national pricing and rating standards, carrier and fleet strategy, technology adoption, operating standards, and performance visibility. Working across Client Success, Business Development, Operations, and Finance, the Director ensures every solution is competitive, scalable, properly prices, and consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as Future Transfer's senior transportation expert in customer meetings, business reviews, RFPs and implementations
- Analyze customer networks,



order profiles, service requirements and cost drivers to design complete supply-chain solutions
- Lead national transportation pricing, lane costing, rate cards, fuel programs, accessorial charges, and approval standards
- Ensure every proposal reflects the true operating cost, service requirement, and required margin
- Determine the right mix of Future Transfer fleet, dedicated capacity, truckload, LTL, intermodal, cross-border, and brokerage services
- Develop routing guides, capacity plans, and contingency options
- Establish common processes for order intake, planning, routing, tendering, dispatching, tracking, proof of delivery, exception management, carrier settlement, and customer billing
- Set and manage national measures for on-time pickup and delivery, tender acceptance, visibility, claims, aged orders, and service recovery
- Lead corrective action on recurring or material failures
- Lead carrier sourcing, qualification, negotiation, and performance management
- Improve fleet utilization, reduce empty kilometers, and ensure capacity meets seasonal and customer requirements
- Own the transportation business requirements for the TMS, automation, customer visibility, and reporting
- Build dashboards that show service, cost, capacity, utilization, and profitability
- Monitor revenue, gross margin, cost-to-serve, and actual results against quoted assumptions
- Ensure completed services are fully documented, billed promptly, and reviewed for growth or corrective action
- Build an accountable national transportation team with clear roles, operating rhythms, and performance expectations
- Develop transportation managers, planners, dispatchers, and analysts as the business grows

Required Knowledge and Skills:





- Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Experience with chemicals, agriculture, regulated products, seasonal distribution, or contract logistics is preferred
- Significant progressive experience in transportation, logistics, 3PL, or supply-chain operations with accountability for service and financial results
- Demonstrated experience designing complex transportation networks and customer-specific distribution solutions
- Strong experience with pricing, lane costing, RFPs, customer proposals, contract support, and carrier negotiations
- Working knowledge of dedicated fleet, truckload, LTL, brokerage, cross-border transportation, and transportation-management systems
- Credibility in senior customer meetings, business reviews, implementation, and service-recovery discussions
