Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly of mechanical parts and components in accordance with detailed assembly drawings and manufacturing documents. This position requires performing critical assembly tasks, ensuring quality control, and making necessary adjustments to meet specifications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, and a strong focus on ensuring the functionality and quality of the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret assembly drawings, ensuring that the bill of materials is accurate and followed during the assembly process.
- Perform critical assembly tasks by accurately interpreting dimensions from the drawings.
- Verify parts picked and delivered for assembly to ensure they match the required specifications.
- Resolve discrepancies or part shortages with the supervisor when necessary.
- Ensure consistency in the assembly method for similar assemblies to maintain uniform quality standards.




- Conduct visual inspections of materials before and after assembly.
- Inspect for conformance to drawings, specifications, functional operation, and appearance.
- Make necessary mechanical adjustments to ensure the component meets quality standards.
- Check the performance of completed components to ensure they meet plant quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure the final product aligns with quality goals.
- Work according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), bills of materials (BOM), manufacturing information, and instructions from management or engineering.
- Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair products.
- Work closely with engineering, management, and other team members to ensure assembly processes align with production schedules and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or training in mechanical assembly are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, with proven experience in interpreting technical drawings and assembling mechanical components.
- Experience with manual milling or lathe operations is an asset.
- Solid ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and technical documents.
- Hands-on experience using mechanical assembly tools, fixtures, and gauges.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of quality control practices and attention to detail in inspections.
- Ability to work independently and in a team workplace.
- Ability to adapt to new procedures and learn quickly.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to work with precision tools and equipment safely.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
