Sky Building Restoration Inc. is seeking a highly organized and motivated Abatement/Environmental/Restoration/Construction Renovation Project Coordinator to oversee and coordinate environmental remediation, abatement, emergency restoration, reconstruction, and construction renovation projects from initiation through completion.

This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project scope, client expectations, applicable building requirements, and all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

The successful candidate will work closely with field crews, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, clients, insurance representatives, and management to support operational excellence across restoration, environmental, reconstruction, and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning, Scheduling & Execution

- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of restoration, remediation, abatement, reconstruction, and construction renovation projects, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting timelines based on site conditions, emergency response requirements, construction progress, material availability, and client needs.
- Coordinate and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, including emergency response and renovation projects related to fire, flood, mould, asbestos, environmental hazards, building damage, and general property improvements.
- Coordinate projects from initial assessment and demolition through remediation, reconstruction, renovation, and final completion.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with approved scope, drawings, specifications, contracts, company standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate project sequencing to ensure trades, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and inspections are properly scheduled.
- Identify potential delays, deficiencies, scope changes, and project risks and take appropriate action to keep projects progressing.

2. Site Supervision & Operations

- Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Supervise and support crews performing mould remediation, asbestos abatement, demolition, environmental cleaning, restoration, reconstruction, and renovation work.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, technicians, suppliers, and equipment to maintain workflow, productivity, and project schedules.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction and renovation activities are completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate general construction and renovation activities, including demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, painting, millwork, electrical, plumbing, and other trades as applicable to the project.
- Act as a primary site contact and decision-maker to resolve operational issues, delays, deficiencies, and changing site conditions.

3. Documentation & Reporting

- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all project documentation, including daily reports, hazard assessments, permits, inspection records, deficiency reports, change orders, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain detailed project logs related to labour, materials, equipment usage, subcontractors, site conditions, and project progress.




- Document damage assessments and construction progress using photos, measurements, sketches, and written observations for internal records and client reporting.
- Track project milestones, deficiencies, outstanding work, and close-out requirements.
- Prepare and provide regular project updates to management, clients, consultants, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders.

4. Communication & Coordination

- Serve as a primary liaison between internal teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, trades, suppliers, insurance representatives, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead site meetings and coordinate communication among all project stakeholders.
- Coordinate project requirements between restoration, reconstruction, renovation, environmental, and other operational divisions as required.
- Resolve site concerns, operational challenges, deficiencies, and client issues in a qualified and timely manner.
- Communicate changes in scope, schedule, site conditions, and project requirements to the appropriate stakeholders.

5. Budget & Resource Management

- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and identify variances to support financial targets and project profitability.
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and trades to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Assist with estimating, forecasting, procurement, change orders, and resource planning as required.
- Review material and subcontractor requirements and coordinate timely procurement and delivery.
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve project efficiency.
- Assist with reviewing subcontractor work and invoices against completed work and project scope.

6. Quality Control, Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with applicable Ontario health and safety regulations, environmental legislation, building requirements, and industry standards applicable to the project.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and identify deficiencies, safety concerns, or non-compliant work.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, including PPE requirements, containment protocols, hazardous material handling, controlled demolition, and decontamination procedures.
- Ensure renovation and construction activities are coordinated in accordance with applicable project requirements, permits, drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain safe, compliant, and productive job sites.
- Coordinate required inspections, testing, environmental monitoring, and consultant requirements where applicable.

7. Abatement, Restoration, Reconstruction & Renovation Oversight

- Coordinate and oversee mould remediation, lead and asbestos abatement projects, ensuring proper containment, removal, transportation, and disposal procedures are followed.
- Supervise emergency response services, including water damage mitigation, structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, and environmental clean-up activities.
- Coordinate controlled demolition and material removal activities in preparation for restoration,



reconstruction, or renovation.
- Oversee reconstruction and renovation activities following remediation or restoration, including coordination of multiple trades and subcontractors.
- Coordinate general building renovation activities such as drywall, framing, flooring, painting, ceilings, doors, millwork, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and other related scopes as required.
- Ensure renovation work is properly sequenced with remediation, abatement, restoration, and other construction activities.
- Oversee contents handling, inventory, cleaning, storage, and restoration activities where applicable.
- Coordinate project close-out, deficiency completion, final inspections, cleaning, and client turnover.

8. Leadership & Continuous Improvement

- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to field staff, technicians, labourers, and project personnel.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of standardized project management and site procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, communication, quality, and client experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and remain current with industry standards, certifications, technologies, construction practices, and best practices.

9. Other Related Duties

- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support company operations and project success.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience in construction renovation, reconstruction, environmental remediation, restoration, abatement, or related industries preferred.
- Experience coordinating construction projects involving multiple trades and subcontractors is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of mould remediation, asbestos abatement, water damage restoration, demolition, reconstruction, and general building renovation practices.
- Understanding of construction sequencing, project scheduling, site coordination, materials, subcontractor management, and quality control.
- Strong understanding of Ontario health and safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, subcontractors, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deficiencies, risks, and project issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management/documentation software.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.
- IICRC, IHSA asbestos, mould remediation, construction, environmental, or related certifications are considered an asset.
- First Aid/CPR certification considered an asset.

Preferred Experience

- 2+ years of experience in construction, renovation, restoration, remediation, abatement, or project coordination.
- Experience working on commercial, multi-residential, institutional, or large-scale renovation projects is considered an asset.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
- Experience with insurance restoration and reconstruction projects is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of project estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and change-order processes is considered an asset.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year

Experience:

- Restoration or Renovation: 2 years (preferred)
