Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Control Testing Analyst with 6–8 years of experience in banking operations, operational risk, control testing, and regulatory audit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking processes such as fraud, loans, deposits, and procurement, along with hands-on experience assessing control design and operating effectiveness.

The role primarily focuses on operations and regulatory control testing. Candidates with SOX experience will also be considered, provided their experience is focused on SOX Operations rather than SOX ITGC.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform control testing and assessments across banking operational processes.
- Evaluate both control design and operating effectiveness.
- Test and assess controls related to fraud, loans, deposits, procurement, and other banking operations.
- Support operations and regulatory audit activities.
- Review processes and identify control gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Document testing procedures, findings, evidence, and conclusions.




- Analyze control deficiencies and support appropriate remediation activities.
- Apply knowledge of relevant US regulatory frameworks during control assessments.
- Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to understand processes and controls.
- Support SOX Operations testing where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6–8 years of professional experience in operations, control testing, operational risk, or regulatory audit.
- Strong understanding of banking operational processes, including:
- Fraud
- Loans
- Deposits
- Procurement

- Hands-on experience in control testing and control assessment.
- Experience assessing control design and operating effectiveness.
- Knowledge of key US regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in operations and regulatory audit.
- SOX Operations experience is acceptable; SOX ITGC experience alone is not suitable.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- CPA/CA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- CIA or other relevant operations/audit certification is a plus.
- CISA is not mandatory for this position.

Key Requirement

Primary focus must be on banking operations and operational control testing. Candidates whose experience is primarily in ITGC/SOX IT controls should not be considered.
