Bright Breaks offers short live well-being breaks for employees and students during their workday.
The breaks are typically 7-minutes long and cover content spanning in the fitness/movement, yoga/stretching, and mindfulness categories as well as facilitating breaks around nutrition and other well-being topics.
We offer 250+ Live breaks a week starting at 10:00am Atlantic until 8:00pm Atlantic, Monday through to Friday delivered in 4-hour shifts from our studios in Vancouver and Halifax.
We’re looking for passionate Wellness Educators to lead energizing 7-minute virtual breaks in fitness, yoga, stretching, and mindfulness, streamed live from our downtown Halifax studios AND/OR 30 min, 45 min, and 1-hour live events in various categories such as fitness (dance), yoga, and meditation (these are pre-scheduled and also taught from our studios). If you’re seeking part-time work, have a background in fitness or yoga, and love connecting with people, we’d love to hear from you.
What does a Bright Breaks Educator do?
- Contributes to making the Bright breaks an excellent experience for all participants at all touch points during their breaks
- Plans out their breaks in advance and comes to each session prepared to do their best
- Leads sessions and delivers them in an online group setting with varying durations
- Work from our studio located downtown Halifax, NS
- From time to time, host exclusive team breaks for Bright Breaks customers
Who are we looking for?
- You have an up to date certification in overlapping areas of expertise Yoga, Meditation and/or Personal and Group Fitness
- Expertise leading Yoga based classes, stretching and/or mobility exercises
- Expertise in full body workouts (bodyweight only - no equipment necessary)
- Workouts that target a specific area of the body (abs, upper body, lower body etc.)
- Any experience/certification in specialty fitness classes are highly valuable! This may include but is not limited to Pilates, Barre, Cardio Boxing, etc.)
- You have minimum 2 years of experience leading group classes
- You are charismatic and can build relationships with your clients
- You have experience using video conferencing and training groups of people online
- You are punctual, organized, and have reliable transportation to and from work
- You have a beaming personality and are comfortable with customer service, technology, and problem-solving
- You are a team player who wants to win in a team environment and help your colleagues to do the same
- You are skilled in a variety of techniques and can complete them in 7 minutes.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 20.0 per week
