Home Share Provider / Caregiver – Comox Valley

We are looking for a warm, dependable and experienced caregiver/support worker to become a Home Share Provider for a woman with cerebral palsy and a developmental disability.

She is social, affectionate, has a great sense of humour and enjoys being included in everyday family and community life. She uses a walker at home and a wheelchair in the community.

As her Home Share Provider, she would move into your home, and you would provide ongoing support with:

- Personal care, including dressing, toileting and bathing
- Meals and everyday household routines
- Mobility and transfers
- Transportation and appointments
- Scheduling, forms, documentation and communication with her support team
- Helping her feel safe, comfortable and included in daily life

Because this role includes intimate personal care for a woman with a disability, it is especially important that her privacy, dignity and personal comfort are respected.

She attends a day program Monday–Friday, so much of the weekday daytime is your own. You would still be responsible for coordinating appointments,



communication and her overall care. Regular respite is also arranged for approximately three weekends each month.

We are looking for someone who:

- Already lives in the Comox Valley and has a suitable, welcoming home
- Has experience in disability support, healthcare, home care, senior care or a related field
- Is kind, patient, organized and dependable
- Is comfortable providing personal and intimate care
- Has a valid driver’s licence and reliable four-door vehicle
- Is comfortable managing appointments, schedules, forms and documentation
- Communicates well with family and the support team
- Is looking for a meaningful, long-term caregiving role

This is an independent contractor Home Share position and would need to be your primary skilled commitment.

Compensation: approximately $56,000–$60,000 per year, non-taxable.
