Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machine Operator/Process Worker, where you'll be at the forefront of transforming raw materials into high-quality products. Your expertise will contribute to efficient manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Duties
- Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and run primary food-packaging and wrapping machines according to daily production schedules.
- Quality Control: Inspect packaged chocolates for defects, check seal integrity, and verify proper carton or case coding and weights.
- Troubleshooting: Make minor mechanical adjustments, clear jams, and report major equipment malfunctions to the production supervisor.
- Sanitation & Safety: Clean and sanitize packaging lines, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and maintain a safe, debris-free workspace.
- Record Keeping: Log production output, downtime, material usage, and batch information into shift reports
- Set up, adjust, and operate food packaging and wrapping machinery according to daily production schedules.
- Monitor machines during production and make minor adjustments to maintain productive operation.
- Inspect packaged chocolate products for quality, including seals, weights, labels, carton/case coding, and overall presentation.
- Identify and correct minor machine issues, clear jams safely, and report major equipment problems to the Production Supervisor.
- Complete routine cleaning and sanitation of packaging equipment and production areas.
- Follow GMP, food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures at all times.
- Accurately record production output, downtime, material usage, batch information, and other required shift documentation.
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily production, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating packaging, wrapping, or production machinery, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Previous experience in a chocolate, confectionery, bakery, or food production environment is a strong asset.
- Basic knowledge of machine setup, adjustments, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting.
- Understanding of GMP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to identify packaging and product quality issues such as improper seals, incorrect weights, coding, or damaged packaging.
- Comfortable completing production logs and basic documentation accurately.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet daily targets.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, when required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a production team.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Flexible availability for day, afternoon, depending on production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality or packaging issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet daily production targets.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a production team.
Preferred: Candidates with hands-on experience operating automated food packaging equipment will be given priority.
Must be available to work full-time. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
