Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Specialty Coffee Baristas to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be the face of our cafe, crafting exceptional coffee beverages, providing outstanding customer service, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. Your enthusiasm for coffee and dedication to quality will help us deliver memorable experiences to every guest. Starting wage is $18.25/hr plus tips. Tips average $6.50/hr.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks using espresso machines and brewing equipment with precision and care
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide knowledgeable recommendations about our menu offerings
- Operate POS systems such as Squares POS for order processing, payments, and cash handling with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including food preparation stations and equipment sanitation
- Handle food safety protocols diligently,



including proper food handling and storage procedures
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently while ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math skills are applied
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting overall food service operations

Skills

- Proven experience as a barista or in the food industry with a solid understanding of coffee brewing techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS for seamless order processing and cashiering
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and transaction processing
- Previous experience in serving or food preparation environments is highly valued
