Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking processes, including Rolling, Forming, Braking and Blueprint reading. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components for various projects, ensuring precision and quality standards are met. The Metal Fabricator will work with a variety of tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the successful completion of complex fabrication tasks.

Responsibilities

- Able to interpret fabrication drawings/welding symbols, layout, and fabrication prior to welding.
- Possesses basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
- Use tools and equipment such as Plate Rollers, Press Brakes, Horizontal Saws, Plate Shears, Plasma Table, grinders and drills to bend, cut, punch, drill or form metal components.
- Accurate use of measuring equipment.
- Use material handling and rigging, hoisting and lifting equipment to move materials and completed assemblies.
- Safely move material by manual means as required and as necessary and able to perform safe lifting as required.
- Manage your time and work accordingly so that all assigned jobs are completed within the estimated time given.




- Select the required materials to accomplish your work.
- Good understanding of using jigs and templates.
- Perform their duties in a fashion that will prevent major heat deformation issues.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area in a qualified and safe manner.
- Able to set up the welding machine to perform properly and diagnose issues.
- Perform lifting as required.

Experience

- Qualified Metal Fabricator or can sufficiently demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Experience with fabrication of miscellaneous metals fabrication including tanks, skids, pipe / tube.
- Experience using typical shop machinery including brake, shear, metal cutting bandsaw, ironworker, drill press and mag drill.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Strong team player who can also work independently.
- Current or prior certification as a forklift operator.
- Sound knowledge of the construction process onsite and can make fabrication decisions taking into consideration the effect on site installation and the end-use for the customer.
- Can work with 1/16 accuracy but understands this may not always be required.

Pay: $22.00-$36.00 per hour
