Job Summary:

The Environmental Worker is responsible to the Director of Support Services. To assist in meeting the needs of the residents by providing a clean, safe, comfortable environment in accordance with the facility and departmental policies.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes:





- Must have a Nova Scotia Grade XII or equivalent and be able to follow verbal and written instructions without direct supervision.
- Long-term care experience considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping, laundry, or serving experience required.
- WHMIS training certificate required.
- Food handlers certificate required.
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) training considered an asset.
