Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and energetic Supply On Call Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) and Early Childhood Assistants (ECAs) to join our dynamic supply team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional childcare and support services in early childhood education settings, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of diverse backgrounds. This on-call position offers flexibility (0-40 hours per week) and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while working within a collaborative team committed to excellence. Responsibilities

- Support classroom activities by assisting lead teachers with daily routines, lesson plans, and child engagement
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and proactive communication
- Facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences that promote development in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, attendance, and behavior reports with clear writing skills
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members in English and French, demonstrating bilingual proficiency when applicable
- Operate classroom equipment and computer systems to support educational activities and recordkeeping
- Assist with classroom organization, including setting up materials,



maintaining cleanliness, and managing time efficiently during shifts

Experience

- Prior experience working with children in group care settings
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent organizational abilities are essential for success in this role
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to manage time effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of childcare best practices, teaching methods, and classroom management techniques
- Computer literacy including basic operation of educational software and recordkeeping systems

Requirements

Recent clear TB test-completed within the last six months

Transparent VSC-completed within the last six months

Valid First Aid and CPR-issued in Ontario

Valid Food Handlers Certificate

Valid 4 Steps Workers Health and Safety Certificate

Be able to travel to other centers within Toronto (High Park, Midtown, Beaches)
