STATUS: Part Time/Seasonal
REPORTS TO: Kitchen Manager

The Thirsty Moose Pub is located at the Prince George UNBC campus and is currently hiring one line cook. This is a seasonal position running from September to May.

Under the direction and supervision of the Kitchen Manager, you will:

- Follow established performance criteria as it relates to customer service, food quality, consistency, preparation procedures, health & safety, and risk management
- Ensure all customer concerns are addressed while striving for 100% customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working workplace
- All standard duties expected of a line cook, including prep work, assembly, cooking via various methods and plating.
- Follow daily and weekly checklists as required.
- Assist with catering various on-campus events in the NUSC Building during the school year.
- Working knowledge of and compliance with all applicable food safety requirements and laws in the Province of British Columbia and Canada.
- Providing support to team members when dealing with unexpected situations and customer concerns.
- Responsible for the smooth operation of the establishment during a shift and for handling problems or complaints.




- All employees are responsible for keeping the area tidy and clean and ensuring all health & safety requirements are met.
- May be responsible for opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- A passion and mindset for customer service and providing excellent food.
- A valid Food Safe or comparable food safety certificate is required as a condition of employment.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Minimum of four years of commercial restaurant kitchen experience.
- Availability is requested when applying. Please specify all available days and times.
- Expected shifts will be Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 1 pm and 4:30 to 8 pm. Additional hours will be based on events and bookings
